When the coronavirus first reached our shores, it was hard to imagine that life would change as much as it has. Sheltering in place, maintaining our social distance, flattening the curve – sometimes it feels like we’ve learned an entirely new language to describe this historic period.
Yes, the pandemic has changed a lot. And it isn’t over – the coronavirus will probably be with us for many months to come. But in recent weeks, some things, at least, are starting to normalize. The economy is beginning to reopen, and so are we.
For the first time since March 17th, we are happy to welcome clients back into our office on July 13th, 2020.
For the last few months, we’ve been conducting all our client meetings over the phone or via the internet. While it was odd not to meet with people in-person, we’re happy to say that video conferencing has worked well. So, well that we’ll continue to use it with anyone who wants to! In fact, until the pandemic is over, we still encourage most clients, especially seniors and others with high-risk health conditions, to meet with us remotely. However, thanks to the lifting of quarantine restrictions, we feel it’s safe to hold in-person meetings once again for those who prefer or need them.
As we re-open our office, though, we’re conscious of the need to keep ourselves and our clients safe. Here are the measures we have adopted to do just that:
- First, we ask that anyone who feels unwell, has symptoms, or has been exposed to the virus refrain from coming in. We’ll meet over the phone or through Zoom
- Second, we will sanitize our entire office after every appointment, paying special attention to high-touch areas like doorknobs, tables, chairs, and light
- Third, we will offer complimentary masks and hand sanitizer to everyone who comes
- Finally, we will always maintain our social distance by requiring all staff and visitors to stay six feet apart.
We feel that these steps will go a long way to making our office a safe place for both our team and our clients. Of course, the single best way to protect ourselves during this pandemic is to stay home as much as possible. So, again, we still encourage clients to meet with us over the phone or through video conferencing whenever possible.
This is a truly historic time – and an uncertain one. I want to thank you for your continued trust in us as we work to help you reach your financial goals. While this pandemic has forced us all to make changes to our daily lives, one thing that will never change is our dedication to you. We look forward to seeing more and more of our clients in our office as the months go by!
In the meantime, keep staying safe and healthy! Please let us know if there is ever anything we can do. We are always here for you.
